Sanctuary Dogs
Hi there, I am Daisy Mae. I am the sweetest, most well-behaved pup at the sanctuary, but I also have a lot of energy and sometimes my parents call me “Crazy Daisy.” I am a Rottie mix that was saved from a drug house in Chautauqua County. Now, I am the princess of AAO and I get spoiled rotten. I love belly rubs and car rides. And I will do anything for a treat. If you meet me, be prepared to get smothered in kisses!
Hola, my name is Quica. I only like about two people at the AAO sanctuary, but those two people are my everything. I am the most loyal dog you will ever meet for those that I love. I may come across to everyone else as tough and gruff, but deep down I have a loving soul and I just want to be loved in return. My favorite things to do at AAO are running in the fields, cuddling up in bed with my humans, and helping my mom cook in the kitchen. I especially love when she makes broccoli. Broccoli is my favorite snack!
Howdy, I’m Buster! I’m a Pit Bull Terrier and lab mix. I was the very first AAO sanctuary dog, so that makes me the OG. I spend most of my time doing what I love most which is sleeping, sunbathing, and swimming! I also love to go on walks and cuddle with the volunteers. I’m living my best life at AAO!
Hi, I’m Mica! I’m a German Shepherd/Husky mix. I hear that I’m a good, smart boy all the time so it must be true! I love being outside, learning new tricks and going for long walks. I’m an energetic guy who is looking for someone who can keep me active and stimulated! Don’t get me wrong I love to snuggle on the couch…after I get my exercise! I can’t wait to meet my forever playmate! I’m a big boy so I would prefer to be in a home with no cats and no children. Check me out on the adopt section!
Hi there, I’m Lola! I’m a sweet girl who loves cuddles, belly rubs and long walks! I love female company, seem to be okay with other dogs but I’m a little on the fence with some men (who can blame me though). I startle easy so a calm, loving environment is best for me... That’s why I love living at the sanctuary.
Hi all, I’m Brutus! I’m a Belgian Malinois and I’ve had a hard life. I will spare you the sad details, because now I am living a beautiful life at the AAO sanctuary. I am AAO’s most active dog. In true Malinois fashion, I love to fetch and run, so it is a good thing there are 50 acres at the sanctuary. I get taken on long walks and I have a blast chasing my jolly ball! Winter is my favorite time of year, because I love jumping in the air to catch a snowball and eating it.
Hey, I’m Fred! I am a boxer mix who generally likes to do my own thing. I don’t trust many people, but the ones that I do, I REALLY do. I am Burger King’s best customer as my two sanctuary dads take me for rides to get burgers on the regular. I never found my place in this world, but the sanctuary world is where I belong.
Hi, I’m Bandit the Malamute! My family says I am an incredibly energetic goofball who may have a career in theater because of my dramatic tendencies. I am a trickster with some impressive jumping skills. I love to play and go on walks with my dog-dad Matt. I am also very fond of my stuffed animals and delicious snacks!

Howdy, I’m Alamo! I’m just a cowboy from Texas who somehow ended up in Western New York. But it suits me. I love the snow! Aside from the snow, my other favorite things in life are my dad, my stuffies, and my blankie. It took a lot of work to get me here, but each day I am so thankful that AAO found me.
